Pickering Papers
MSU President Mark E. Keenum welcomed distinguished guests to Mitchell Memorial Library on March 31 to celebrate the donation of Judge Charles W. Pickering Sr. and Congressman Charles W. “Chip” Pickering Jr.’s political papers to the Mississippi Political Collections, a unit housed within MSU Libraries’ Archives and Special Collections. The father-son duo, along with former MSU President Malcolm Portera and longtime Mississippi Republican Party strategist Henry Barbour, recounted numerous stories from their decades of public service and discussed various past and present political topics affecting both the state and nation.
