A Distinguished Honor
MSU President Mark E. Keenum, right, presents a plaque to newly named W.L. Giles Distinguished Professor Daniel Peterson, director of MSU’s Institute for Genomics, Biocomputing and Biotechnology (IGBB) and a professor in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. The honor is one of the highest awards the university can bestow on a faculty member. It is based on distinguished scholarship as evidenced by a record of outstanding research, teaching and service.
