Dr. Alfred E. McNair Jr. of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning Board of Trustees met with MSU President Mark E. Keenum prior to the university's April 29 afternoon commencement ceremony. An IHL Board member since 2015, McNair Jr. is a board-certified gastroenterologist and owner of Digestive Health Center, PA in Ocean Springs.
