U.S. Senator Thad Cochran was "front and center" for the coin toss for the Nov. 16 MSU football game against the University of Alabama. Cochran is shown next to a representative of the armed forces, a group he had praised earlier in the week in commemorating Veterans Day. He said, "The ceremonies, parades and programs taking place this year reflect the admiration we share for our veterans. It is gratifying to see the deep respect that the people of my state have for those who have served, from the first Mississippians who took up arms to defend this land to those currently deployed around the world."
