Present were Dr. Mark Keenum, presiding, Dr. Peter Ryan, Dr. Greg Bohach, Dr. Bill Kibler, Mr. Don Zant, Ms. Amy Tuck, Dr. David Shaw, Mr. Scott Wetherbee, Dr. Jerry Emison, Mr. John Rush, Mr. Mike Rackley, Ms. Natalie Ray, Mr. JoJo Dodd, Mr. Brandon Jolly, Dr. Tommy Stevenson, Mr. Joe Farris, and Ms. Lesia Ervin, and Ms. Josie Guerry.

Dr. Shaw presented for approval a new policy (OP 79.11) on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) that would establish a UAS Steering Committee and establish procedures for acquiring a university UAS, seeking FAA authorization to fly UAS, require UAS pilot training, and otherwise regulate the acquisition and operation of UAS. The Council recommended approval.
