Dr. Gilbert and Ms. Spencer presented for approval a revised version of HRM 60-109, Records Management and Security. The revised version requires departments, rather than Human Resources Management, to retain job search records for three years and requires that faculty hired after July 1, 2012 provide transcripts for all degrees, along with minor updates. The Council recommended approval.

Dr. Gilbert and Ms. Spencer presented for approval a revised version of HRM 60-122, Pre-Employment Criminal Background Screens. The revisions include a requirement for background screens of finalists for positions with access to ?sensitive information,? rather than ?student or employee information,? and provides that an employee may begin work before a background screen is completed, with continued employment contingent on successful completion of the screen. The Council recommended approval.

Dr. Gilbert and Ms. Spencer presented for approval a revised version of HRM 60-401, Guidelines for Employee Conduct. Revisions include a prohibition on audio or video recording of coworkers, students or others without their consent, although approved university surveillance cameras are permitted. The Council recommended approval.

Mr. Jolly proposed that OP 3.04, Harassment Training for Supervisors, be rescinded as redundant and because it prescribes out-of-date procedures. Current procedures are included in OP 3.03, Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy. The Council recommended that OP 3.04 be rescinded.

President Keenum presented for annual review the university mission statement, as required by OP 01.05. The Council recommended that the mission statement as approved by the Board of Trustees in October 2009 remain in place unchanged pending the next annual review.
