Dr. Gilbert and Mr. Rackley presented for approval OP 1.12, Use of Information Technology Resources, and OP 1.25, Privacy of Electronic Information. The policies are consistent with IHL policy and federal law on digital and electronic copyright infringement and define the balance between university responsibilities and users' expectations of privacy when using MSU information technology resources. Dr. Gilbert and Mr. Rackley presented for approval OP1.26, administrative Banner Access for Student Workers. The policy allows student worker access for appropriate use for which the student has been properly trained. The Council recommended approval. Dr. Gilbert presented for approval OP 63.01, Faculty and Staff Temporary Housing Policy and Procedures. The policy establishes two years as the maximum period of occupancy, or two years plus the unused portion of a lease assumed from a previous tenant. The Council recommended approval. Dr. Kibler presented for approval the recommended Student Financial Aid official estimated Cost of Attendance for 2010-011. The COA for an in-state, on-campus student is Estimated at $19,198. Dr. Alexander reported that Dr. Dolphus Weary of Mission Mississippi will be the speaker for the 2011 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Unity Breakfast.
