Executive Council met at 1:30 p.m. at 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Glenn Steele, presiding, Dr.Melissa Mixon, Dr. Hart Bailey, Mr. Mike McGrevey, Mr. Greg Byrne, Mr. Blake Jeter, Dr. Mary Alexander, Dr. Bill Kibler, Dr. Teresa Gammill, Dr. Jimmy Abraham, Mr. Joe Farris, Mr. Charles Guest, Mr. Don Zant, Ms. Julie Fulgham, and Dr. Tim Chamblee.

Dr. Chamblee presented a proposed new operating policy on Evaluation of Vice Presidents and Non-Academic Administrators. Council members suggested that the intent of the proposed OP might be attained by modifying existing OP 60.503, Performance Appraisals. The proposal was referred to Human Resources Management for Review. [An updated version of OP 60.503 was approved on March 3, 2010.]

Dr. Alexander presented for approval a revised version of OP 03.03, Resolution of Unlawful Discrimination and Harassment Complaints. The revised policy would incorporate a federal prohibition against discrimination based on genetic information. The council recommended approval. [The revised policy was approved on January 29, 2010.]
