Executive Council met at 1:30 p.m. at 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Mark E. Keenum, presiding, Dr. Peter Rabideau, Mr. John Rush, Dr. Melissa Mixon, Dr. Hart Bailey, Mr. Mike McGrevey, Mr. Greg Byrne, Mr. Blake Jeter, Dr. Mary Alexander, Dr. Bill Kibler, Dr. Glenn Steele, Mr. Sam Manning, Mr. Joe Farris, Mr. Charles Guest, Mr. Don Zant and Ms. Julie Fulgham.

Mr. Byrne presented a proposal to name the media table at Humphrey Coliseum for the late Don Foster of the Starkville Daily News. Mr. Foster was an MSU graduate who covered the Bulldogs for local newspapers for almost 40 years. The council recommended approval. Commemorative plaques will be placed on two media tables.

Dr. Steele presented for approval a revised version of Operating Procedure 79.3, Human Subjects at Mississippi State University. The revised policy clearly identifies the Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research as the office responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations. The council recommended approval.
