Executive Council met at 1:30 p.m. in 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Mark Keenum, presiding, Dr. Peter Rabideau, Dr. Mary Alexander, Dr. Glenn Steele, Mike McGrevey, Dr. Bob Williams, Blake Jeter, Dr. Hart Bailey, Dr. Bill Kibler, John Rush, Greg Bryne, Sam Manning, Julie Fulgham, Don Zant, Joe Farris, and Charlie Guest.

Dr. Keenum proposed a campus wide review of the MSU mission and vision statements in keeping with MSU and IHL policy. An ad hoc committee will be appointed to make recommendations to be reviewed by the university community, with proposed changes to be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval during the fall. The council endorsed the plan.

Dr. Kibler presented for approval a revised version of OP 91.179, Senior Citizen Tuition Waivers. The revision would extend the tuition waivers available to state residents age 60 or over to include courses offered through the Division

of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education, up to a limit of three seats percourse section in distance learning classes. The council recommended approval.

Dr. Kibler presented for approval the proposed Policies for Traffic Rules and Regulations, OP 91.307, for 2009-2010. Proposed changed consisted primarily of editorial clarifications or terminology updates. The revised policy would specify that bicycles in the MSU Bike Share Program are for on campus use only and provide for an on-line traffic citation appeal process. The council recommended approval and submission to the Commissioner of Higher Education for approval in keeping with IHL policy.

Dr. Kibler submitted for approval a revised version of OP 91.354, Facilities Use Policy and Procedures. The revisions primarily would update titles and reflect current organizational structure. The council recommended approval.
