Dr. Watson notified council members by email of two items that required attention prior to the next scheduled meeting. Council members were asked to review and respond to:

1. Proposed Cost of Attendance, 2008-09. (See attached PDF document for explanatory memo and detailed cost figures. Early action is needed to allow our Department of Student Financial Aid to begin re-awarding financial aid packages for Fall 2008 students.)

In keeping with responses received, the recommendation was approved.

2. Proposed Change of Status: Larry Templeton, Director of Athletics, to Director of Athletics Emeritus, effective June 30, 2008. (The university will submit its recommendations for emeritus appointments to the Board of Trustees for consideration at the July meeting, and agenda items are due at IHL by June 27. MSU policy (AOP 13.01) provides that individuals not holding academic rank must be nominated for this recognition through their divisional vice president, considered by Executive Council, and recommended to the President.)
