Executive Council met at 11 a.m. at 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Peter Rabideau, presiding, Julie Berry, Dr. Colin Scanes, Jon David Cole, Dr. Bill Kibler, Ray Hayes, Dr. Vance Watson, Dr. Gary Pike, Charles Guest, Dr. Melvin Ray, and Joe Farris.

Dr. Rabideau presented for approval a revised version of AOP 13.12, Summer School Teaching. The revision reflects the current rate of faculty compensation for summer school teaching. The council recommended approval.

Mr. Hayes recommended approval of OP 1.22, Voice Mail, which provides that listed main office telephone numbers should be answered by a person, rather than a recording. The council recommended approval.

Ms. Berry reported that Staff Appreciation Day is scheduled for May 12.

Dr. Pike requested that council members review and comment on proposed performance metrics to be included in the university strategic plan.

Dr. Watson reported on progress of the search for the next dean of Forest Resources.

Mr. Cole noted that Bulldog Bash is scheduled for September 23.

Mr. Hayes reported that state tax collections for April exceeded estimates.

Dr. Rabideau reported on the status of the search for the next dean of Education.

Dr. Scanes reported on the status of the search for the director of the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems.
