The Executive Council met at 9 a.m. at 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Donald Zacharias, presiding, Dr. Melvin Ray, Dr. Derek Hodgson, Dr. Billy Ward, Larry Templeton, Dr. Rodney Foil, Dr. Roy Ruby, Mike Richardson, Dr. Leslie Bauman, Ms. Patsy Douglas, Ms. Leah Norman, Dr. R. D. Ikenberry, Charles Guest, Joe Farris, Gaddis Hunt, Mike White, Wayne Bland, Bill Broyles and Roy Klumb.

Ms. Norman presented a review of capital improvement priorities for FY 1999 at the eight universities as compiled by the IHL staff. The Mississippi State request is for $24.67 million. The system request is for $311 million. The council recommended no changes in the Mississippi State proposal.
