Executive Council met at 9 a.m. in 611 Allen Hall. Present were Dr. Donald Zacharias, presiding, Dr. Roy Ruby, Larry Templeton, Dr. Rodney Foil, Dr. Melvin Ray, Dr. Billy Ward, Dr. Derek Hodgson, Leah Norman, Dr. Mike Couvillion, Dr. Debbie Baker, Greg Threatt, Charles Guest, Dr. R.D. Ikenberry, Sam Hogue, Mike White, and Shelton Jones.

Mike White introduced Shelton Jones, who presented schematic and design development recommendations for the Mail Services building. Executive Council recommended approval.

Mike White and Sam Hogue presented schematic and design development plans for the Landscape Equipment Storage Building. The Council recommended approval.

Dr. Ray presented the summary of grants and contracts for January.

Dr. Baker distributed requests for distinguished service awards.

Dr. Zacharias presented a letter from IHL Commissioner Thomas Layzell requesting input on targets for program performances measures to be presented to the legislature. Dr. Ikenberry will assume the leadership role in responding to this request.

Dr. Couvillion discussed the upcoming general faculty meeting.

Dr. Ward discussed the IRS request from individuals who received compensation through the MSU Foundation.
