MSU President Mark E. Keenum recently presented MSU Libraries Dean Frances Coleman with a copy of Ptolemy's Cosmographia. Given to Keenum by Bill Berkley, board chairman and chief executive officer of the W.R. Berkley Corporation, who visited MSU for a speaking engagement. Berkley owns an original copy of the work, which in 1482 introduced mathematics and the idea of accurate measurement to map making.
