Our prayers continue for those impacted by the recent storms that hit our state. MSU teams are working with Mississippi Emergency Management Agency officials to assess needs and deploy MSU resources and personnel to support those in need. Our MSU Extension staff has boots on the ground in the affected counties. Working with state and local officials, it is part of our mission to serve Mississippi and to help our neighbors overcome this disaster - and we will.
It is a point of pride that more than 90% of Mississippi State graduates become employed or start working on advanced degrees after graduation. This year’s 94% career success rate exceeds the overall national percentage of 84.1% for bachelor’s degree graduates. It’s exciting to know that the Mississippi State experience is engaging students in educational, research and creative endeavors that empower them to have meaningful careers and meaningful lives.
We’re also working to ensure that the MSU experience is diverse, inclusive and accessible to people from all walks of life, including those who have served in our nation’s armed forces. For the fourth year in a row, Mississippi State was recognized as a top 10 Military Friendly School for our efforts to help student veterans and their families thrive.
No doubt, there are many things to celebrate about Mississippi State, and that’s exactly what’s in store for the 37th annual Super Bulldog Weekend April 14-16. Our most popular spring event will feature exciting baseball, softball, football, tennis and volleyball action along with country music star Brett Eldredge in concert on Dudy Noble Field. We hope to see you then.
