Dear Colleagues,
I started my 10th year of service as your president in January, and every day I feel very fortunate to be able to work with outstanding faculty and staff like you. Your work is making a difference in the lives of our students and in the many communities we serve.
As the start of the new fiscal year approaches, I am very pleased to report that we will be able to award merit pay increases, effective July 1, to benefits-eligible employees. A merit raise pool of approximately $3.5 million will be provided. Additional details and guidelines for administering raises will be distributed to departments in the next few days as part of the annual budgeting process.
Again, thank you for all you do for Mississippi State as we fulfill our mission of teaching, research, and service. I could not be more proud of our university, and of you – the people who make it great.
